Anime NebrasKon is a famous Anime Convention. It is Nebraska’s one of the longest-running conventions till now! The Anime NebrasKon convention is successfully running since 2004.
What is the motive behind Anime NebrasKon?
The basic ideology behind this Convention is to connect people and various communities across Japan. These communities include Japanese animations, pop culture, mangas, etc. and pop culture. The purpose of this huge gathering is to conduct various educational and fun activities. The Convention takes place at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, volunteered by the Student Union. Initially, the Convention had only 300 attendees. But with time, the family has now grown to over more than 6,500 attendees. Currently, this year’s Convention will be hosted in Omaha. Anime NebrasKon is a 24-hour event. An event that all kinds of activities for everyone. From family-friendly events to various video games and board games. Anime NebrasKon: 2020 Updates
Last weekend on Saturday, the official team of Anime NebrasKon made an announcement regarding the Convention that was about to take place this year. As per the notification, this year’s event will not take place due to the ongoing outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is indeed, saddening. Till now, an endless number of events are getting postponed and canceled due to this pandemic outbreak.
As per the NebrasKon team, the badges of this year’s Convention Anime NebrasKon 2020 will roll over to 2021. The team is planning to postpone the event for next year on November 5-7.
Also, all the registrations of Vendors and various other participants will roll over to the next year’s event in 2021.
Also, the organizers stated that badge holders can cancel their badges if they do not want it to get roll over for next year. A full refund will be made for this, upon contacting them via emails. The emails and other specifications regarding this are mentioned in Anime NebrasKon’s official website. Additionally, as per the other announcement details, the badge holders who have bookings for hotel rooms and stay made through the Official Anime NebrasKon various hotels, including those at the Ramada Plaza, the Doubletree SW, or the Comfort Inn will automatically have their bookings canceled. The confirmations regarding the refund status will be sent through emails around August 4-6.
Further, the New badges and hotel reservations for Anime NebrasKon 2021 will be available next year.
