Some essential things took place in the latest episode. Let’s rewind to the battle and find out the release date of episode 218.
Glimpses of Boruto Episode 218
The latest episode of Boruto was an emotional roller coaster. From seeing our favorite group of ninjas winning to seeing a character close to heart fading. Boruto Episode 218 was well portrayed by Pierrot Co. Ltd. It was well developed, and the background OSTs filled the eyes of the viewers with tears. The Konoha Ninjas finally gained relief after defeating Isshiki Otsutsuki. However, it came with a cost.
Kawaki Oversmarts Isshiki:
Kawaki has been treated as a mere object from the very beginning of the series. He has already got the fill of hatred from everyone. Boruto Episode 218 showed us how much he has grown over these past few days with Naruto.
Isshiki was the final winner of the fight between him and Naruto. Nonetheless, Isshiki still lost a significant amount of his life while fighting Naruto in Baryon Mode. From 10 days to a mere five minutes was an extreme knockback for Isshiki. In Boruto episode 217, Kawaki found his way to the dimension they were fighting in and confronted Isshiki to save Naruto.

It wasn’t Kawaki in which Isshiki had transferred his Karma; it was Kawaki’s shadow clone. Isshiki takes his last breath of life with this, and the Konoha Ninjas finally win this battle.
Momoshiki Returns:
The most overpowered antagonist in the universe has finally been finished. However, the cunning Momoshiki takes over Boruto’s body. He has a new idea of feeding Kawaki to the divine tree. Apart from this, Momoshiki also took down Sasuke and was real close to successfully carrying out his intentions. Notwithstanding being treated as an object, Kawaki finally shows his power. Boruto Chapter 218 showed us how strong the bond between Boruto and Kawaki has grown. Boruto eventually overpowers Momoshiki and takes back his body.

Kurama’s Final Scenes:
The Baryon Mode indeed took out the toll from Naruto. His Chakra was utterly exhausted and was beaten up by Isshiki. Kurama had already told him about the risks, but there was no other choice.
