Land of Lustrous, a famous Japanese manga series, was adapted into a manga in 2017. However, only one season was released. Many of the fans are asking for Houseki No Kuni season 2. So will season 2 finally be released in 2021? Read on to find out more details!
What is the series about?
If you enjoy watching the usage of advanced technology then this series is for you. Houseki No Kuni contains amazing CGI visuals and has a good narrative which makes it stand out from others.
The anime is set in a distant future. The Earth has been thoroughly destroyed and struck 6 times by meteorites. Now all that is left is a single coast, or a single strip of land. Almost all life has been destroyed in the process. However, over long periods of time, a new race or new lifeforms started emerging. These were when immortal jewels took the form of people.
The series revolves around Phos, who is considered weak and useless by their peers due to it being of low hardness. He starts working with a colleague named Cinnabar to create a natural history assignment and from there we see their friendship blooming. On the other hand, these jewel people are at war with the Moon people (Lunarians)

So when are we getting Houseki No Kuni Season 2
The creators are yet to release information about season 2 for Houseki No Kuni. This is surprising as the series garnered quite the following, especially after the release of the anime. The manga readers almost doubled after 2017 and therefore, there is no reason for the series to be cancelled.
It also cannot be due to lack of material. Season 1 only covered part of the manga and there were numerous plots left open and many cliffhangers that can only be solved if we get a season 2. There is more than enough to be covered for the creation of a season.
We really hope the creators announce a Houseki No Kuni season 2 soon enough!
