A teaser promotional video for the OVA adaptation of Otomate’s Hakuōki Otome smartphone game was unveiled. Details about the cast, staff, and theme song artists were also revealed. Also, a new key visual was released for the Original Video Anime project on Friday. The first OVA episode will stream in Japan on November 13. Below is the teaser promotional video for the OVA:

Staff Of The OVA:
Studio DEEN is animating Hakuōki OVA episodes under the direction of Osamu Yamasaki. Atsuko Nakajima, Kou Otani, and Yoshikazu Iwanami are back as animation character designers, music composers, and audio directors. At the same time, Yone Kazuki is designing the characters.
Aiko Yoshioka performed the opening theme song, “Setsuna no Kodō”, while Maon Kurosaki performed “Kenran – I’ll never forget you” as the ending theme song of Hakuōki OVA.

About Hakuōki Franchise:
Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom was a 2 part film project and the most recent project of the franchise. They consisted of Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom: Wild Dance of Kyoto of 2013 and Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom: Warrior Spirit of the Blue Sky of 2014. Blu-ray and DVD distribution rights of the project was given to Sentai Filmworks.
What Is The Plot Of The Game And Its Various Adaptations?
Projects in the Hakuōki franchise revolve around the historical Shinsengumi samurai group in Kyoto during the 19th century. In search of her father, Chizuru Yukimura, a girl, arrives in Kyoto from Edo.
However, due to a fateful connection with her missing father, she finds herself in the middle of a conflict between frightening Rasetsu and Shinsengumi (under the guidance of Hijikata and others).
What are the Games Released In The Hakuōki Franchise?
In 2008 Idea Factory released Hakuōki: Kyoto Winds (Hakuōki Shinkai: Kaze no Shō), which debuted on PlayStation Vita in Japan in September 2015. The sequel game Hakuōki: Edo Blossoms (Hakuōki Shinkai: Hana no Shō) was launched in Japan in June 2016 on PS Vita. This game was also launched for PC via Steam.
In 2018 both these titles were together released as Hakuōki Shinkai: Fūkaden on Nintendo Switch.
Hakuōki Shinkai: Tsukikage no Shō and Hakuōki Shinkai: Ginsei no Shō are the newest game in the franchise for Switch.

Hakuōki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, followed by Hakuōki: Record of Jade Blood in the year, were the two television anime in the franchise released in 2010. Together with 2012’s anime Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom – Dawn of the Shinsengumi, and 2016’s Hakuōki: Otogisōshi.
Several films and Original Video Anime were also released in the Hakuōki Franchise. In 2012 Hakuōki first stage musical debuted. After a one-year delay due to the pandemic Musical “Hakuōki Shinkai” Sōma Kazue-hen, ran in Tokyo and Kyoto this month.
