Prison School Season 2: Release Date and Everything We Know

Prison School is one of the most highly acclaimed anime series of its time. The first season which ended with many cliffhangers, left broad scope for a Prison School season 2. Based on the manga of the same name, the series might get a renewal in terms of a new season.

Prison School Season 2 Release Date

So far, season one’s producer- J.C Studio- has not issued any official statement regarding a new season. Consequently, there are no updates whatsoever about the release date of season 2. The first season gained a wide fanbase and was very popular, which gives hope regarding season 2.

On being asked, the director of the first season, Tsutomu Mizushima, answered on his Twitter account with embarrassed face emoji that he wants to continue with season 2. Unfortunately, as of now, he has no idea. Considering the studio’s tight-lipped nature about new projects, this is only an expected outcome.

Season 2 Cast

The Japanese cast for the new season will remain unchanged in all probability. The new season will most likely have Taishi Nakagawa, Tokio Emoto, Galigali Galixon, and the rest returning as the series’s voice actors if it gets a new season.

English Cast

Japanese dub of the first season was universally applauded, whereas the English dub was heavily criticized. Therefore, the first season’s English cast will not be returning as the voice-overs for the series’ characters. Specifically, if the studio wants to achieve a proper reception of the new season, this would be the case.
