Kodansha’s magazine editor Shinohara published an inventory on the Neo Days manga website to find an assistant for Forest of Piano(Piano no Mori) manga founder Makoto Isshiki to get a brand new manga series.
Isshiki established the Forest of Piano manga at 1998 at Kodansha’s Young Magazine Uppers, and it ran from the magazine before the magazine ceased publication in 2004. The show resumed in Morning in 2006 and stopped at 2015. Kodansha printed the 26th and last volume of the show on December 2015.
Kodansha Comics started releasing that the manga digitally in October, and it clarifies the series:
This is really a story of a piano, pitifully left in the forests, along with also a young boy, Kai, that grew up enjoying it as his favorite toy. While Kai can’t even read sheet music, 1 day, he matches Shuhei Amamiya, an aspiring kid pianist who transports schools out of Tokyo, as well as their music educator, Sosuke Ajino. Ajino was once a talented pianist before a tragic accident uttered his promising future from him eternally. All the time, the piano sits, anticipating a hand to perform with it.
Netflix is streaming the sequence. Netflix surfaced fresh episodes in Japan immediately when they aired on NHK, also surfaced the season beyond Japan on September 2018. Netflix surfaced the season Outside Japan on June 24.
