Oh My God, how the tides have turned! I don’t know about you guys but I absolutely wasn’t expecting Daki to not be the original upper six demon! I mean let’s look at things from the start here, we all saw tragically in Mugen train just how powerful an upper six demon truly is, and the fact that tanjiro, even though being of such a low rank was able to deal with Daki and almost beheaded her, gave the fans a hint that maybe she wasn’t as strong as she let on.
But, the doubts on that thing completely cleared, when nezuko transformed into a demon and using her demon blood jutsu beat daki at her own game, and right when Nezuko and tanjiro needed his help the most, Tengen uzui made the most flashy appearance and in a swift strike beheaded daki.
After beheading her, he orders tanjiro to get nezuko back in control and tells him that daki couldn’t be one of the upper six demons because she’s too weak. To which the beheaded head of daki begins crying, and Tengen is clearly shocked to see the demon still alive instead of disintegrating, and how she’s able to talk for soo long even after being killed.

And all our doubts are soon squashed when Daki shouts for “Onii-chan”, and much to everyone’s horror, a brand new demon appears from her body named Gyutaro, who unsurprising, in just one swift slash lands a blow on Uzui drawing blood. This is what we all had been waiting for! This is what the real power of an upper six demon looks like. This means that everything we’ve been seeing so far was meager level 5 fights, and soon us viewers are going to be witnessing another level 10 fight that will absolutely blow our minds.
But, thank god that Innosuke and Zenitsu made just in time to back up Uzui and at least save the citizens coming in their way because this is going to be one hell of a fight.
Will another hashira fall in front of an upper demon? Will history once again repeat itself? Or will things change?
