Anime NYC created by LeftFeild Media is an event company made of dedicated fans and organizers. Japanese pop culture publishers support developing Anime NYC; It takes place in the Javits Center on Manhattan’s West Side. The Javits is New York’s most abundant event space and blocks from Times Square, Grand Central, and Penn Station.
Anime NYC has invited well known Japanese anime creator, director, novelist, and screenwriter Yoshiyuki Tomino. He is one of the essential members of SUNRISE anime studio. He is well-known for transforming the super boot genre into a real robot genre with 1979’s Mobile Suit Gundam.
Moreover, Anime NYC expects more than 40K people in its largest anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture convention in November 2019 during its 40th Anniversary. The other special invites are Riichiro Inagaki and Boich who created hit manga series Dr STONE.
Anime NC also welcomes Lantis Matsuri, a renowned concert series. As Japanese pop culture convention is going to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Japanese music label Lantis and feature popular anime song with Japanese musicians JAM Project, TRUE, ZAQ and the Guilty Kiss idols from Love Live! Sunshine’s Aqours on November 15, 2019. Peter Tatara(Anime NYC’s Event Director) said, “We couldn’t be more proud to welcome Yoshiyuki Tomino to New York City”. Mr Tomino created a story beloved by fans across Japan and all over the world, and we’re honoured to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Gundam saga together with him!”
