Recap of Episode 189

Episode 189, labelled “Resonance,” was released earlier this week. A fight ensues between Garo and Kawaki as Garo refers to Kawaki as something known as the Vessel. It seems that Garo’s body is made out of Ninja tools, and Kawaki is built differently from him. Garo comments that Kawaki has become weak, but Kawaki wants to show him how strong he really is. They continue to exchange blows, but Kawaki seems to be the weaker end.

Boruto tries to interfere in the fight but is stopped by Konohamaru, who says the situation is too dangerous. Garo almost destroys Kawaki when Boruto and Kawaki’s Karma Seal activates, causing Garo’s arms to break and Kawaki to end Garo. Garo falls unconscious, and they decide to take him back to Konoha.
