Life is undoubtedly complicated. No matter how many motivational videos we see or quotes we read, sometimes finding your purpose in life and fitting in with the crowd can be one of the hardest things to do. The constant fear of failure, the feeling of lagging behind, and not being able to relate to anyone else is truly the loneliest feeling ever.
Summer Ghost, a short animated movie illustrated and animated by Loundraw will be tackling issues similar to this and will be highlighting the lives of three out-of-place high school students named Tomoya, Aoi, and Ryo who meet each other online and decide to uncover the mystery of the famous summer ghost.
The movie is scheduled to release on the 12th of November 2021 and as mentioned earlier, will have a short duration of 35 minutes. Given the incredibly moving script of the movie, the anime film is also scheduled to get its very own manga adaptation written by Yoshi Inomi.
The movie will star Chiaki Kobayashi as Tomoya Sugisaki popularly known for his work in shows like darwins game and an upcoming member in Tomodachi Game, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Aoi Harukawa popularly known for her work in the Case Study Of Vanitas and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Ryō Kobayashi who has contributed his voice in animes like Haikyuu and many new upcoming anime series.

Summer Ghost The Animated Movie’s Plot
Tomoya, Aoi, and Ryo are three high school students, tired and frustrated from their lives. Neither one of them are ever truly at ease and find themselves getting more and more lost as the days pass by. Their feeling of loneliness and frustration ends up bringing them together on an online chatroom and the three of them end up discussing the urban legend of the summer ghost.
It is said that when the fireworks on the great day are lit, the summer ghost finally appears, and anyone who meets the summer ghost is forever changed. With no real purpose in their lives and feeling directionless it was as if fate had brought these three together who decide to uncover the truth behind the summer ghost in a bid to find some clues about their own lives.
With each of them battling their own demons, will they truly be able to accomplish what they set out for? Will they be able to make sense of their lives, or will all three of them disappear and get lost forever in the crowd?
