Let’s face it, everyone’s heard of Tokyo Ghoul. It’s by far one of the best anime/manga ever written with horror, gore, romance, shounen and intense blood-curdling fights. Although the season 4 did take a spiral downwards, the season 1 and 2 are by far one of the best anime I’ve watched. Not to mention the world-class famous opening track of Tokyo ghoul, also known as the best opening of any anime ever made. Tokyo Ghoul is a show that anime lovers should definitely not miss! A Brief Introduction To The Plot
In the world of Tokyo Ghoul, humanity is living alongside monsters who look like humans, talk like humans, reproduce like humans but are far from being humans. The monsters who eat humans’ flesh are much more powerful than humans, rated from D class to SSS class. These monsters are known as “ghouls”, blending perfectly in society.
The story revolves around our protagonist Kaneki Ken, who meets a beautiful girl in a cafe and develops a crush on her. The beautiful girl lures Kaneki out only to kill him and feast on him; it turns out that the beautiful girl is a SS class-rated ghoul, the “binge eater” named Rize.
However, before she could kill and eat Kaneki, a mysterious man throws metal beams at her from a high-rise building, crushing her along with Kaneki.
After this incident, Kaneki wakes up in a hospital alive. However, he is not the same as before. Not being able to eat anything, kaneki is perplexed as to what has happened to him. It turns out that the doctors transplanted Rize’s organs into Kaneki, turning him into half-ghoul and half-human.
