A Brief Introduction To The Plot
The show’s plot revolves around a young high school girl Haruhi Suzumiya, who is absolutely fanatic about ghosts and aliens and everything supernatural. Therefore, her love for these supernatural elements inspires her to make a club called the SOS brigade. A club in which she forces one of her classmates named Kyon to join.
Which he reluctantly agrees to, the group’s only motivation is to find the evidence of supernatural. As the series progresses, 3 more new members join the club—the bookworm Yuki, the shy Mikuru Asahina and the transfer student Itsuki Koizumi.
However, Kyon is later notified that all three new joiners have joined for a reason. The truth is that Haruhi is actually a supernatural being with immense powers. Powers strong enough to destroy the whole world. Therefore, the three of them have only one duty to make sure that Haruhi doesn’t realise that she possesses supernatural powers and to make sure that she never gets bored.
Meanwhile, Kyon is just stuck between a way too eccentric girl and three people on her beck and call. This hilarious situation is what makes this show a truly worthwhile watch.
