Your Lie In April introduced us to an endearing couple that pushes each other to work harder as they each battle with their own issues. 

Kousei led a past with abuse, being forced to play the piano. He pushes away music from his life to cope with this dark past. Years later, he meets Kaori, someone who understands the potential in him and helps him grow. She is capricious and has a very happy-go-lucky personality. Interestingly, in the series, she is the girlfriend of Kousei’s best friend. However, their chemistry powers through over this.

Usui begins to get interested in Misaki’s standoff-ish behavior. He finds out about her secret life and is fascinated by it; however, he understands and helps her to grow trustful once again. The two clash, and gradually, tensions arise between them. Leading to one of the best Shoujo relationships in anime.
