The Black Clover anime ended on February 23rd, 2021. However, the popularity of its manga remains unaffected. The anime ended with chapter 170 of the manga. It has left the viewers on a cliffhanger by introducing Asta’s mother and her ties to Asta’s grimoire. With the manga making significant progress, there has been no sign of another season of Black Clover. The most recent chapter was 306, which was released on September 18th, 2021.
What happened in Black Clover Chapter 306?
With two supreme devil’s defeated by Asta and the others, this chapter shows Yuno and Langirirs against Zenon. The chapter is titled “Boundary.”
Yuno Vs Zenon:
Yuno fighting alongside his wind spirit against a Supreme devil has indeed been entertaining. The two of them have equally shared their blows, and now Yuno is ready to take Zenon down with his signature move. Yuno is firing Wind Spirit Creation Magic: Spirit of Euros at Zenon. Zenon is impressed by his opponents’ speed and admires them for it. Then this chapter of Black Clover starts transitioning to Zenon’s backstory.
Zenon’s Childhood:
Zenon starts reminiscing about his childhood. The backstory tells us how he was often bullied and belittled by two of his elder brothers. Zenon’s eldest brother, who hasn’t been revealed, puts his faith in him. While his brothers criticise him, another character, Allen, jumps in to save him. They both get together instantaneously, sharing the same goal- The commanding officer of the mage defence force. Black Clover shows this bond similar to Asta and Yuno, who share the same goal of being the Wizard King.

Zenon and Allen:
They both get enrolled in the Mage defence force. Zenon is now considered a genius for his weird bone magic and is looked up. One unfaithful day, Allen and Zenon get a task to conquer a dungeon. To their surprise, a devil was sealed in the dungeon. Their troops were injured, and Allen jumped in to prove his potential. Zenon saw an opportunity to kill the devil, but he had to sacrifice his friend to do so. With the life of the troops at stake, Zenon considered saving them over losing everyone. He killed the devil by piercing Allen with his bone magic. Black Clover has provided many tear-jerking scenes, and we hope this would be one when animated.
Aftermath of Allen’s Death:
Zenon was devastated after killing his best friend and rival. He said, “Without strength, Feelings and Persistence are Meaningless. The weak should be Culled.” After facing the reality that he wasn’t strong enough to protect everyone, he went to his eldest brother. On this page of Black Clover, we see Zenon requesting his brother to make him a devil host. His request was granted, and now he’s hosting the devil – Beelzebub inside him.
Black Clover Chapter 307 Release Date
Chapter 306 ended on a cliffhanger. Zenon awakened the devil inside him, and Yuno and Langirirs were ready for finishing him off. The supreme Devil seems to be regenerating. A lot of action is to be expected in the next chapter of Black Clover.
Chapter 307 is set to be released on September 26th, 2021. The chapter could be officially read on Mangashuiesha and Viz. Hopes are up for the next chapter to give us some more exhilarating action.
