Dr. Stone season 3 is finally happening. The very famous anime series debuted in 2019 with a 24 episode long season 1. The anime went on to win many hearts and became a cherished series, just like the manga. After this, season 2 was brought out in January this year. Though it was several episodes shorter than season 1, it maintained Dr. Stone’s legacy very well. Now season 3 will soon be out, and fans can’t wait.
Dr. Stone Season 3 Renewal and Release Date
Dr. Stone season 3 has been officially confirmed! A few hours before the season 2 finale premiered, Funimation confirmed a sequel on its Twitter handle. Additionally, season 2 also confirmed that Senku would return with a new season.

Unfortunately, we have no word of a release date. However, fans speculate that season 3 should be available sometime in 2022. Considering that season 1 debuted a year after the announcement, this should be true. Season 2 came out two years after the information because of unforeseen circumstances. This should not be the case with season 3.

So far, the anime has covered around 83 chapters, that is, ten volumes. The manga has around 170 chapters, so lack of content won’t be a problem. Fans already had some idea about a third season. All popular anime shows tend to get renewals, and Dr. Stone isn’t one to fall behind. With an IMDB rating of 8.2/10, it was a sure thing that season 3 will happen.

Season 2, titled “Dr. Stone: Stone Wars,” ended with the Kingdom of Science merging with the Tsukasa Empire. Now, Senku decides to travel to the other side of the earth and learn more about the certification ray. However, the journey isn’t easy. Senku takes help from the Ishigami village and somehow can build a ship. Then comes into the picture Ryusui Nanami, whom Senku wants to captain the boat. This plan sinks before even touching the water, and Senku takes to the sky to learn more about the mysterious ray and travel the world.
Last Thoughts
Soon, Dr. Stone season 3 will be out, and fans are excited. A shonen anime that is not overflowing with fight scenes, Dr. Stone has earned a special status. Fans hope that season 3 will be as good as the first two, if not better.
