The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window: Release Delayed!

The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window (Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru) is written by Tomoko Yamashita‘s. The mangas official twitter handle made an announcement. In the announcement, it came out that the film will not come out until 2021! SAD 🙁

In a previous announcement, it came out that this Boy love manga will soon get a film adaptation. But due to the extreme attack of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the work process proved to be slow and messed up. Also, Because of this, The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window film is now in a delay. The film previously schedules to be premiered on October 30, but now, the date looks blurry.

The film will star Masaki Okada who acted as live-action GintamaSpace BrothersFuture Diary, to play the character of Rihito Hiyakawa. Also, it will star Jun Shison who was a part of live-action anohana, Ressha Sentai Tokkyūge, will be playing the character of  Kosuke Mikado. Yukihiro Morigaki is the director of the film. Further, Tomoko Aizawa is the in charge of the script of this film.

SuBLime will put out the manga digitally. The story as described by sublime is given as:

Shy bookstore clerk Kosuke Mikado has the ability to see ghosts and spirits, an ability he wishes he didn’t have, since what he sees usually terrifies him. Rihito Hiyakawa, an exorcist whose supernatural powers are as strong as his social graces are weak, doesn’t seem to fear anything, mortal or otherwise. When this odd couple gets together to solve the bizarre cases that come their way, their work methods may not be entirely safe for work!

Yamashita launched the manga in March 2013. It first came out in Libre Publishing‘s Magazine BExBOYLibre Publishing put out the manga’s eighth volume in February. Also, the ninth volume of the manga will come out on September 10.

SuBLime put out the sixth volume digitally in October last year. Also, the seventh volume will come out on October 27.

Other than this, the other cast members of the show include:

  • Yuki Sakurai playing the character of Saeko, Hanzawa’s wife
  • Kenichi Takita playing the character of Hiroki Hanzawa, a detective trying to solve the case alongside Hiyakawa and Mikado
  • Emi Wakui playing the character of Noriko, Mikado’s mother
  • Makita Sports playing the character of Matsuo Hiura, Erika’s father
  • Michitaka Tsutsui playing the character of Tetsuya Ishiguro, the founder of a mysterious religious group
  • Shinya Niiro playing the character of Kazuomi Sakaki, Erika’s bodyguard

Yukihiro Morigaki is the director of the film. Also, Tomoko Aizawa is in charge of the script. The film will come out in Japan later than October 30.
