The Irregular at Magic High School: PV & Visual Release

The official website for Mahouka has announced that The Irregular at Magic High School: PV & Visual Release will be released in winter 2021. Even with its local success, it took six years for The Irregular at Magic High School to acquire a second season. For some reason, Studio 8bit missed the content from the eighth volume of the light novel between adaptations for both seasons.

The Irregular at Magic High School PV shows a younger Tatsuya and Miyuki walking on a seashore while holding hands.

A key visual for The Irregular at Magic High School series was also released.

The series’ Reminiscence arc depicts a flashback of Miyuki and Tatsuya’s vacation with their mother and her bodyguard. This arc represents a change in the relationship between the siblings, who were as good as strangers before, to the occurrence depicted in the arch.

It’s odd that they skipped this storyline during the second season and opted to adapt it afterward. This is because this arc contextualizes everything that transpires with USNA throughout the second season.

This isn’t the first time they’ve rearranged things out of sequence. Magic High School’s Irregular The Movie: The Girl Who Calls the Stars takes place three years before the second season’s events yet chronologically follows them.

The Irregular at Magic High School Synopsis

The Irregular at Magic High School PV & Visual Release is based on Tsutomu Sato’s online novel series, which was released between 2008 and 2011 on an internet web novel website. The series takes place on a planet with an alternate past, where magic exists and is refined by contemporary technology. The capacity to utilize magic, on the other hand, is established by heredity, limiting the number of magicians in existence. Tatsuya Shiba, a bodyguard for his sister Miyuki Shiba, is a candidate for the leadership of the Yotsuba clan, one of the Ten Master Clans who control Japan’s magicians.

They enroll at First High School, which separates its students depending on their magical talents. Miyuki is registered in the first course and is regarded as one of the top students, but Tatsuya is in the second course and is seen as magically incompetent.
