After eight long years, The Devil Is a Part-Timer finally gets renewed for a Season 2. After its initial release and conclusion in 2013, no information was given about a new season, and many fans expected to never hear of the series again. However, the second season was finally announced at Kadokawa’s Corporation’s Light Novel Expo.

With the announcement of its renewal, a trailer and official picture of the anime has also dropped. The trailer has given the viewers a hint on who the anime’s cast will be, and it seems that the original cast from eight years ago will be continuing on the series.

The viewers have already gotten a sneak peek into the new season, but no official release date has been revealed. You can currently watch the first season, which is available on Netflix, Hulu, and Funimation.

What is the series about?

The Devil is Part-Timer is a Japanese novel written by Satoshi Waghara and illustrated by 029. It was initially released in 2011 and ran till 2020. It was also adapted into a manga by the same author but illustrated by Akio Hiragii and launched in 2012. The manga is still ongoing till this date.

The series circles around the devil who finds himself in modern-day Tokyo after a hero foils his plans of overtaking Ente Isle and its four continents. In order to survive, the devil, namely Sadao Maou, gets a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant called MgRonald’s – where he takes on the role of a perfect employee.

There are yet to be any spoilers revealed for The Devil Is a Part-Timer season 2 of the show. As mentioned above, only a trailer of the show reveals the cast has been released. However, the viewers can expect a few spoilers after the official date of the series is announced.
