“But isn’t Gina Linetti more of a state of mind?”
If you are a Gina Linetti Fan you too would have fled the sadness when this “Phenomenal Woman” parted from the show. Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s eighth and final season has issued an emotional trailer ahead of its premiere next month. We cried and we know you cried too. They have teased a number of possible character returns.
The new promo outstandingly features Chelsea Peretti’s Gina Linetti (at 1:16), yet in addition indicates that we could be seeing more of Holt’s better half Kevin, Doug Judy, and Adrian Pimento as well. However, the Pimento-Diaz angle still seems untouched.
Opening with Charles Boyle (played by Joe Lo Truglio in a hairy coat) with Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), the trailer sees the previous plunk down and regret: “I’m terrified that my experience with you will be trimmed short; no more stakeouts and beverages after a long shift, or 12 PM calls when you’ve had a forward leap for a situation.
“I’ve generally had this picture of us in our 90s chasing down crooks at the retirement home… in any case, I surmise that was only a stupid dream,” adds Charles, while Jake attempts to smother a little cry.
As you’d anticipate from this sitcom, more 99th Precinct horseplay results in the trailer on account of appearances from Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), and Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero).
In the meantime, back in February, Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans most desired long-overdue Bruce Willis cameo will at last occur in season 8.
