HBO’s Euphoria Adds Minka Kelly To The Mix, More On Season 2

HBO has added a few cast members to the roster for Euphoria’s highly-expected second season, including Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights), Dominic Fike, and Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. Made by Sam Levinson, the first season of Euphoria introduces a group of teens who struggle navigating the complexities of relationships, drugs, identity, and the overall trials and tribulations of the high school experience in today’s world. The series was widely praised for its innovative cinematography, compelling storytelling, and prominent acting. Zendaya brought home an Emmy for her lead job in the show, working alongside a handful of other talented actors such as Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi.

THR recently detailed that Kelly, Fike, and Flenory Jr. would be joining Euphoria’s now impressive cast list. While the degree of their roles in the show hasn’t been uncovered, there is some speculation about the kind of characters the newbies will play. As per THR, it’s speculated that Kelly will be a play pill-popping suburban housewife, and Flenory might be a heartfelt interest for Maddy. While some viewers might be acquainted with Kelly’s acting chops in Friday Night Lights, Fike and Flenory are better known for their space in the music world.

Euphoria

Euphoria’s first season was a refreshing taste of stacked, meaningful substance for more youthful, yet more develop audiences. While shows like MTV’s Skins may have touched the surface of more obscure high schooler material, there still couldn’t seem to be anything very as significant as Euphoria. Since the COVID-19 pandemic put an end to creation, it’s been two summers since the show’s original debut in June 2019. Given that filming just started in 2021, fans should remain patient as more details regarding season 2 and its release date are still somewhat hush-hush.
