PUBG has been launching new upgrades with collaborations for the past few years to attract new players. Now, for a limited-time campaign in Japan, PUBG is partnering up with Higurashi. It will add new voice cards and a challenge from Rena to the game. The collaboration began on September 30 and will last until October 14.

Higurashi isn’t the only anime-related crossover. Jujutsu Kaisen and Sakura Wars were also recently featured in the battle royale.

What Does The Special Voice Card Feature?

Rena, Keiichi Maebara, and Satoko Hj are the three special voice cards featured. Popular voice lines from the Higurashi anime series will be included. Rena’s challenge will come in the form of a letter in which she challenges players to defeat three opponents with a melee weapon. For completing this challenge, PUBG players will earn a Traveler Ticket, which can be used to open crates containing collaboration items featured in this event.

The PUBG X Higurashi crossover was announced along with a small teaser snippet. With a small teaser snippet, the PUBG X Higurashi crossover was practically announced. However, the 30-second snippet has amassed millions of views across platforms thus far.
