If you love those movies then yet again the moviemakers are getting amazing ones for you! Yes, you all heard it right, there is another comics book that is turning into an animated series. The Usagi Chronicles animated series: the Usagi Yojimbo comic-inspired Samurai Rabbit. This comic is one of the favorites of the comic lovers, don’t say you haven’t heard of it! Okay! No jokes I know you have heard of it and that’s why you are here!

This started produced in 1984 and is still ongoing, not to forget that the legacy has got a lot of love and affection for 35 years.
Usagi Yojimbo, comics were created by Stan Sakai. In Japanese history, it was taken place at the beginning of the Edo Period and also it featured humanoid animals replacing humans. For 37years, Sakai has written, lettered, and drawn Usagi Yojimbo. The characters that are part of this were also part of the animated show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
We are so excited for the animated movie to be out but for now, maybe we all have to wait. Till the time we all are waiting, Netflix has given us a glimpse of the movie by releasing the trailer. The trailer of the Samurai Rabbit: the Usagi Chronicles yesterday, with the date of the premiere for this CGI animated series.
The comic will take place in the future, leaving the story of Miyamoto Usagi. The series will be in the future and will also follow the young Rabbit Samurai Yuichi Usagi. One of the descendants of the great aforementioned warrior, his epic quest to become a real samurai.
Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles, Trailer, and Plot
A young rabbit that wants to be the greatest Samurai in history, Usagi. He goes to the Neo Edo the futuristic metropolis to discover his fate. He unintentionally unleashes dozens of the strange, ancient monsters known as Yokai. He has to clean the mess that he created with his new friends, Kitsune, Chizu, and Gen. The problem is that the situation is getting stranger than they could have thought. Usagi Chronicles will be full of great adventure, comedy, and a lot of action.

Talking about his dream he says wants to be like Miyamoto Usage and fight Yokai. The bounty hunter and hippopotamus, Gen has to meet Usagi, and not only this he also meets Kitsune who is a fox with the role of a thief. In his dream of wanting to become like Usagi he actually unleashed a Yokai from a crystal who says, “This world will suffer.”
After realizing his own mistakes and also the fact that he must clean up the mess that he created. Also, traveling to places to select a weapon that will add to aid him in defeating Yokai’s. However, will stay rest of his life with him. Therefore rather than the sword, Yuichi takes to-yo comedically. He stops Yokai with his new friend kitsune, Chizu and Gen.
However, wanting to stop Yokai and also the white cat from taking over the New Edo.
Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles Release Date and Production
Do you all know that the coming up animated series, The Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles will be premiering on 28th April 2022 via Netflix. With ten-episode the first series will be released, all the first episodes released together on the same date on Netflix.
Let’s go back to June, way back in June the adaption of the Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo was first announced in 2020. It is binding with a lot of hard work over 2 years finally it’s coming out this month! As the makers know that the reader and fans are waiting for a long time now so Sasaki showed his gratitude and thanked every fan for waiting for it for a long time now with patience.
He said “I’m excited to announce the first-ever Usagi Yojimbo TV series! Thank you for all your years of patience and support.”
And the most beautiful and epic part is that there is not only one person involved in it but many production houses are involved in it. Houses like Dark Horse Entertainment, Gaumont, Indian-based 88pictures, and Atomic Monster.
Candie and Doug Langdale are the showrunners of the series, and not to forget their names are most recognized for the work in DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and Puss in Boots. Not only this but Netflix’s Maya and the Three.

Remember the member of “Never Have I ever”, Darren Barnet is all set to lead the animated series. The voice actor for Yuichi Usagi, another voice actor Aleks Le will be doing it for Gen the bounty hunter. Along with Shelby Rabara as Kitsune the fox thief and Mallory Low as Chizu as the cat thief.
