New Banshee-Like Villain Waiting For You In  Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Venom

A brand new trailer of Venom: Let There Be Carnage is out and it is giving fans some serious vibes. The trailer gave the first glimpse of Naomie Harris‘ new banshee-like villain.

The English actress Naomie Harris, who is best known for the role of Eve Moneypenny in the very popular James Bond movie franchise – is set to star as Frances Barrison aka Shriek in the upcoming Venom: Let there be carnage.

Harris is seen in character for a fraction of a second, but her screeching screams are guaranteed to stay with fans even after the short clip. Get ready to cover your ears.

Shriek is able to give powerful soundwaves which can also help her fly through the air.

Directed by Andy Serkis, Let There Be Carnage is a sequel to 2018’s Venom, which first introduced Tom Hardy as an investigative journalist and Venom host, Eddie Brock. The cast also features Michelle Williams, returning as Brock’s ex-fiancée Anne Weying, and Woody Harrelson as serial killer Cletus Kasady.

The brand new trailer sees Brock entering Ravencroft prison where both Kasady and Barrison are in custody. Following a somewhat cannibalistic incident, Kasady becomes the host of an alien symbiote, taking on the character of Carnage.

And it looks like Harris’ character has a special association with Harrelson’s spine-chilling killer. Shriek is, in fact, Kasady’s long-standing adoration interest and harbors a dark past.

According to the character’s official backstory, Shriek was harassed by her mother for being overweight as a kid. Turning to an existence of wrongdoing and medication dealing, Barrison was later shot in the head during an altercation with the police and wound up in the out-there Darkforce Dimension. As part of her resurrection, Shriek realized she had mutant abilities.

While the resurrection plot is probably not going to be investigated in Venom 2, it looks like Shriek will have an important and consistent role in the new Marvel movie.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is all set to release in UK cinemas on September 15 and in the US on September 24, 2021. You better wear earplugs else Naomie Harris will Shriek you out.

We will be back soon with updates until then, Stay happy, Stay Safe, and keep supporting us 🙂
