Ok Let’s be honest here, we all kind of expected this. With one of the biggest fanbases of the latest animes and one of the top contenders in the new-gen shounen anime, Jujutsu kaisen’s movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 proved to its fans and the world yet again, that is a series worth waiting for!
Season 1 of the series launched in October 2020 and turned a lot of heads with its amazing animation, beautiful soundtracks, and an incredibly good story, and lovable characters. With everyone expecting a season 2 to come out in the same timeline, we all were left pleasantly surprised by MAPPA when they announced that a prequel movie of the series will be launched and it is very much here my friends!

Despite launching and being on air for 4 days, the movie is consecutively cashing in a lot of money and is the top-selling movie this year and one of the highest selling movies ever made in japan coming behind only Kimetsu No Yaiba Mugen Train.
However, we all know how Ufotable disappointed every movie-goer when they launched the Mugen train as a separate season, making every fan confused as to why they launched the movie in the first place!
However, MAPPA is playing smart here and won’t do the same thing done by the UFOtable. Not to mention, that the animation studio is going all out with its movies and recently announced that the attack on titan the final war will also be released in the form of a movie. Therefore, with the licensing right of 2 of the biggest blockbuster animes, MAPPA is basking in the glory for now.
Needless to say, the jujutsu kaisen 0 very much lived up to its hype receiving a very good rating from almost 90% of its viewers, surprising no one! The only setback of the movie is that it will be launched much later in other countries disappointing the fans that they can’t live up to its hype as of yet! If only it had a world premiere! However, whatever may be the case, given how popular it’s getting, fans can expect the movie to hit their local theatres pretty soon.
