Hence, the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise has opted to introduce a second OVA with the action figures it will sell in 2022. The official website of the franchise announced this Original Video Anime/ OVA on October 14th, 2021. Moreover, the franchise has named this OVA Nep Nep Darake no Festival( A Festival Full of Nep Nep). Apart from this, the website also hinted at a third OVA of the anime. Although the anime ended in 2013, it seems there is still hope for the next season.
What’s Hyperdimension Neptunia?
Hyperdimension Neptunia or Choujigen Game Neptune is a video game franchise originating from Japan in 2010. Additionally, it’s available in gaming platforms like PlayStation(3, Vita, 4, 5), iOS, Microsoft Windows, and Nintendo Switch. It’s a role-playing video game with its latest Neptunia re★Verse, released on December 17th, 2020. Apart from video games, the franchise has launched many mangas, light novels, and even anime back in 2013. However, it also aired an OVA on March 26th, 2014.
Plot Of The Anime:
Hyperdimension Neptunia takes place in a different universe where the primary source of energy is Share Energy. Furthermore, this world has always been on the brink of war for Share Energy to gain dominance. Nonetheless, the four realms of the Nation Gamindustry finally come to a truce. The four CPU’s Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox, agree to ban any gathering of Share Energy through military force. However, the carefree goddess of Planeptune goes around playing games rather than doing her work. Hence the Share Energy of Planeptune plummets. Therefore, the goddess Neptune and her friends set on a journey to gather Share Energy. Instead, the group comes up with an external threat that could erase their world of Gamindustry itself. Thus the adventure in Hyperdimension Neptunia begins. The anime can be viewed on Funimation.
New Action Figure And OVA
On October 14th, 2021, the franchise’s official website announced the release of a new action figure on October 26th, 2022. Apart from this figure, Hyperdimension Neptunia will release a new OVA in the form of a Blu-ray disc. The new video game Dimension Tripper Neptune: Top Nep will be handed out with the action figure. The action figure is a 1/7-scale “Dimensional Traveler Neptune Generator Unit ver.” manufactured by Good Smile Company. Sadly, the new OVA will only be available exclusively for the buyers of this action figure as they’ll get a serial code on a Play-Pic Card.
