How A Realist Hero Rebuilt A Kingdom Plot Summary

The series follows the life of 19-year-old Kazuya Souma (an aspiring civil servant), who was left all alone without a single family member after the death of his grandfather. However, out of nowhere, Kazuya is zapped to a different universe into the Elfrieden Kingdom, a small country, and is brought over to this side of the world as a “hero.” It turns out that the world is currently facing an unavoidable doom, as all the armies of this new world are fighting against the demon king. Therefore, as an offering to the allies, Elfrieden Kingdom summons a hero from across the world to strengthen their ties with other nations.

Initially shocked at the entire spectacle Kazuya makes up his mind and decides to help the poor and desolate Elfrieden Kingdom, not by any means of war or strife, but through a strict and rigorous regime and government, which allows the Elfrieden Kingdom to come out of poverty and gain a better standing. Seeing his success in the revival of the previously weak nation through the popularity of the masses, Kazuya is now made the King and is betrothed to the crown princess, the daughter of the King. The story follows Kazuya and his administrative rule as the King along with his beautiful fiance. However, the threat of the demon king stays imminent.
