The Plot of The Manga:
Chiruran Shinsengumi Requiem is a historical, seinen manga that takes place in the early 20th century. It is 1912 when a young woman roams around the streets in search of someone. However, some men start harassing her. Then, the one she was searching for appears and saves her. Though he’s an older person, he’s got strength and strategy far superior to an average person. The man is Nagakura Shinpachi. Hence, the woman starts interviewing him about a particular person, i.e., Hijikata Toshizou. Thus, Shinpachi starts giving the woman the cursed knowledge of Hijikata and his life. Hijikata, who took birth in 1859, was a skilled swordsman and brave soldier. Subsequently, Hijikata started looking for strong companions. Therefore, a story comprising great martial artists, swordsmen, soldiers, and battles commences.
