Harry Potter fame Daniel Radcliffe has mentioned which character he’d like to play in a hypothetical reboot. Surprisingly it’s not Snape!
Globally known for his role as the boy wizard, English Actor Daniel Radcliffe showed up for the Happy Sad Confused podcast recently, where he confessed that Gary Oldman and David Thewlis’s onscreen aliases were the most attractive roles to him.
“I would probably want to go with like, Sirius [Black] or [Remus] Lupin,” he told host Josh Horowitz. “Those were always the two characters that I was like, ‘They’re great.’
“And furthermore like, I’m clearly one-sided by my experience of shooting those scenes, with those individuals, and they’re similar to a portion of my favorite memories.”
Radcliffe, Oldman, and Thewlis originally crashed in the Wizarding World during the 2004 film Prisoner of Azkaban.
Back in 2019, the Swiss Army Man actor weighed in on the ‘inevitable’ Potter reboot.
“I’m certain there will be some other version of it. I know I’m not the last Harry Potter I’m going to find in the course of my life – we’ve effectively got a couple more.”
Imagining a TV spin-off, Radcliffe proceeded to add: “I feel like there are different stories from that world that you could totally transform into a TV series, 100%.
“A series with the more established age, that could be exceptionally cool.”
Abracadabra Whoosh! If only it was that easy to get a spinoff of our favorite Harry Potter Series for the Potter Heads. Or maybe a reunion is on the way? Who knows.
