The Way of The Househusband Part 2: Release, Cast and Follow-Up

The Way of The Househusband recently made its debut as anime series. Now The Way of The Househusband Part 2 has also been announced.  An instant hit manga and a successful TV drama, the story of the infamous Tatsu was now made into an anime. Though the anime had some flaws, Netflix which originally streamed the anime has announced a second part.

The Way of The Househusband Synopsis

Also known as “The Immortal Dragon” in the underworld, Tatsu is a dangerous and much-feared Yakuza gangster. After a short disappearance, Tatsu comes back with a slightly different job, that of a househusband! After deciding to leave behind his bloody past, Tatsu gets married and works as a Househusband to aid his career-oriented wife Miku. Tatsu efficiently takes overall daily tasks but Masa, his past acquaintance is not happy about it.  The story becomes a rather amusing one as we see Tatsu bumping with other Yakuza while he works as a househusband.

The Way of The Househusband Part 2 Release

Part 2 is officially confirmed by Netflix. Netflix Japan, on its Twitter handle, announced the second part as a continuation of the 5 episode first part.

However, Netflix has announced any release date for part 2. On top of that, Netflix’s original anime tend to have an irregular release schedule. Some series take a gap of only a few months whereas others might take more than a year.

The Way of The Househusband Cast

The second will also be produced by J.C Staff. Most likely the cast remains the same for part 2 as well. Tatsu will be portrayed by  Kenjiro Tsuda, Miku by Shizuka Itō. Others such as  Kenichi Suzumura, Yoshimasa Hosoya,  M.A.O will also be returning for part two.  So far we are not aware of any change in cast.

The Way of The Househusband Part 2 Follow-Up

Part 2 will follow the same basic plotline. The first part covered only 26 chapters out of the 69 in the manga. Hence, part 2 will not be hindered by a lack of content. In fact, there is enough material for a third season as well.

In part 2 we might see Tatsu bumping into some other Yakuza and shaking them off while juggling his duties as a househusband. Based on the manga of the same name which is written and illustrated by Kousuke Oono, the anime was heavily criticized for its mediocre animation. Some say that the animation looked like a PowerPoint but others found the animation rather appealing. The manga on the other hand was an instant hit and was well-received worldwide.

Conclusion

Though we have no official date, the second part has already been confirmed so we can rejoice over the fact. The Way of The Househusband part two will soon be out.
