Pacific Rim: The Black – What is it about?
(May contain some major spoilers for Season 1)
The first season takes place in Australia and centers around a pair of siblings, Hayley and Taylor. After a Kaiju invasion, their parents had taken off but had not returned for five years. The pair must now learn how to operate their own Jaegar defense mobile weapon as it is their only way of survival. The siblings organise a trip to Sydney and must fight off Human baddies as they try to take their Jaegar – given that it is the only one left. The siblings work with other characters of the show, mainly Mei – a 19-year-old survivor – and a mysterious boy who can communicate with the Kaijus.
The last episode ends when the siblings learn that the boy was placed on Earth as a trap by the Kaijus. The boy was meant to turn into a monster and destroy humanity. He would leave them there as a way to stay safe and change his destiny. The episode ends with the Sisters cult spying on the Boy in his Kaiju mode.
What can we expect from Season 2?
