Ouran High School Host Club Season 2 has been a troubling issue for all weebs for 15 years now! Season 1, which concluded way back in 2006, left us wide-eyed for a second season. But is season 2 happening?
Season 1 aired between April and September in 2006. A reverse harem, rom-com anime, the show is credited as a classic of its genre. Ever since, we have heard rumors about season 2, but this time, we have a firmer string of hope to hold on to.
Ouran High School Host Club Season 2 Release Announced?
One of the best studios out there, Studio Bones, produced season 1. After that, the studio has made no mention of season 2 for the show. However, the recent stir caused by the voice actors’ comments points out that we may see season 2 soon. Also, series creators mentioned (way back) in 2016 that they have started working on content for season 2.
In 2016, English voice actor Todd Haberkorn posted a video saying that the producers contacted him for a second season and that they will start working on it soon. However, after that, we received no news whatsoever. The pandemic raging since 2019 might have been the cause for the delay, but still, fans are hopeful for season 2 in 2021 or 2022.
Season 2 Cast
Though the cast has not been announced, the voice actors will most likely remain unchanged if season 2 happens. Hence, our beloved Haruhi will be voiced by Maya Sakamoto. Mamoru Miyano will be portraying Tamaki Suoh, Hikaru Hitachiin by Kenichi Suzumura, and Kaoru Hitachiin by Yoshinori Fujita. The rest of the cast from season 1 should also return for season 2. That is what the fans want- for both the Japanese and the English voice actors to remain unchanged.

Some Netizens speculate that season 2 will start in the Second year of Ouran Academy. We came to know in season 1 that a field trip to France will take place in the second year. We might see the twins bonding on this field trip as they realize their relationship with Haruhi. This will create a tight, stringent plot. Also, Tamaki’s unstable relationship with his father will likely affect the Ouran High School Host Club in season 2.

Fans seriously hope that Season 2 will happen sometime soon. However, we are not fully aware of a fixed release date, chances are that season 2 is well into the production stage.
