Details On ‘Free! The Final Stroke – The Second Volume’ Movie
Back in April 2021, Kyoto Animations on the eighth anniversary of Free! The franchise had announced that they would release an anime film in the franchise. They had decided to release this anime film in two parts. This two-part film project had seemed like a brilliant idea to let the fans enjoy the film to the fullest. They named it Free! The Final Stroke, the first part of the film, was released on the 17th of September 2021. As a result, the second part will be released in the upcoming year, i.e., on the 22nd of April 2022. The details for this movie had been finalized back in last year’s Summer when it was scheduled to be released. But due to unforeseen circumstances, they had to postpone it.
They kept their promise and came back with this two-part film project. With the excitement building up for the 22nd of August 2022, many are looking forward to the final installment and how they created it. Amidst this, Kyoto Animation released a key visual for this film (as given above) and a teaser trailer (you can watch it below). The visual or the teaser picture is said to have a tagline called, ‘This is my Free.’

This Free! Anime’s plot is adapted from a bunch of light novels written by Koji Oji. As a result, since 2013, the journey had begun for this anime to see the world’s light. Since then, this franchise has produced three TV series and multiple films. Let’s take a look at the cast of this film.
It has Eisaku Kawanami as the director, story composer, and scriptwriter. Along with him, we have Masahiro Yokotani as co-scriptwriter, the late Futoshi Nishiya, who has designed the characters. Lastly, we have Kohei Okamura and Miku Kadowaki in the positions of chief animation directors. The rest of the cast includes Shingo Kasai as the art director, Yuka Yoneda as a color designer, Kazuya Takaoka as the photography director, and Tatsuya Kato as the music composer.
