In the previous episode of Edens Zero, we saw Shiki and his group being captured by the “Skull Fairy”. Much to his delight, Shiki realises that the Skull fairy is just what they were looking for. Elsie, the leader of the skull fairy, is then challenged by Shiki for a duel, a duel to claim ownership over the vessel.

Gladly accepting his offer, we saw the entire episode 7 filled with Shiki fighting against the monstrous Elsie. Who, it later turns out, wasn’t Elsie at all, but a parasite mimicking her voice and appearance to deceit the entire group. The fake Elsie taunts Shiki by telling him about Ziggy’s failed attempt to reach the mother, which ignites a flame in his heart, and he becomes more determined than ever to defeat the alien creature once and for all.

After a long battle, Shiki is finally able to subdue Elsie and land a Final blow leaving her defeated. Then, the real Elsie appears, who is seen fighting the Union Army. Elsie congratulates Shiki and grants him permission to use the Skull Fairy and find the mother. Shiki activates the android built by Ziggy called the Witch Regret, which transforms the entire ship, and the ship’s true identity is revealed. The ship that would carry Shiki and his group to the future is named Edens Zero.

Elsie protects Edens zero and Shiki’s group from the Interstellar Union Army’s onslaught and wishes them well for their future endeavours. Will Shiki and his team be successful in finding the mother?
