Demon Slayer Mugen Train Storyline
The movie begins where season 1 left us. Season 1 ended with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke standing on a train station. Mugen Train starts with the three going on the train where they will encounter some fatal dangers. The trio meets Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, who has also been appointed on the train. So far, many people have been killed on the train, and the group must investigate what is going on. The group encounters Lower Moon One Enmu as things take a drastic turn.

Also known as ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Ressha-hen,’ the movie is based on the popular manga of the same name. The film covers the chapters through 53 to around 64 and features the gripping Mugen Train arc of the manga. The arc is one of the most popular parts of the manga, and the movie covered it with great honesty.
Demon Slayer Mugen Train Release Date
The movie hit the theatres on 16 October 2020 in Japan. The movie opened in 403 cinemas in Japan and broke all records in the country. Upon release, it quickly became a top-grossing film worldwide for the weekend, despite the ongoing pandemic and restricted movement. In Japan, Mugen Train broke the record held by Spirited Away for 19 years.
Later, Ufotable announced international release dates for the movie. On 23 April this year, the film hit US theaters. The film was also released in Australia and New Zealand in February this year. It was released in Latin America, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Europe. In the future, the movie might release in India and the Caribbean.
