Animate usually collaborates with famous Anime franchises to celebrate the announcement of a new season or movie. Although there hasn’t been any such announcement for Haikyu yet, this might hint towards a new film or season.
Haikyu is written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. The story revolves around a short-statured high schooler named Hinata Shoyo. He aspires to become a great volleyball player once he sees a famous player known as ‘The little giant.’ Hinata gets accepted into the same school his idol played for the same school called Karasuno High. Hinata and his highly talented teammates begin a journey to make it to the nationals.
The Anime series started airing in April 2014. It was featured in Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump. The fourth season of the anime was divided into two parts. One of which aired from January to April 2020 and the other one from October to December 2020. There has been no announcement for season 5 yet, but fans worldwide are incredibly excited.
