A Brief Introduction To The Plot
Like most of the shoujo anime, the story of To Love Ru revolves around a young high schooler named Rito Yuki. A kind-hearted, shy and reclusive boy Rito faces quite a dilemma in his life as he cannot confess his love to his long time crush Haruno Sairenji. Much like the popular saying, the more you suppress your feelings, the stronger they get; Rito is tormented from inside as he cannot muster up enough courage to confront her and is scared of getting rejected.
As Rito is taking his bath and contemplating about his love life, out of nowhere, a mysterious devil-tailed girls appear in his bathtub scaring the life out of him. Moreover, the girl named Lala Satalin Deviluke isn’t even from this planet!
It turns out that Lala is actually the daughter of the king of most of the universe and has run away from her home as she is unwilling to marry any of the suitors presented to her by her father. However, when the commander of her kingdom travels through space to retrieve her, she declares her love for Rito and tells the commander Zastin that she wishes to marry him and will continue living with Rito.
These strange circumstances not only make Rito’s boring life extremely complicated but ends up creating a strange love triangle. What will happen in Rito’s love story? Make sure to watch the entire anime and find out.
