A Brief Introduction To the Plot

The show is aptly named because it discusses the life of two anti-social step-siblings addicted to gaming named Sora and Shiro. With Sora being the elder 18-year old brother and Shiro, the younger sister being only 11-years-old. However, the two siblings have sadly suffered a great loss in their past, which led them to be the way they are now. The truth is that after losing their parents, they had no one except each other to hold on to. This fact makes them transcend the bond of the siblings so much so that they begin to have panic attacks if they’re separated from each other.
Therefore, their addiction has led them to be the champions at their craft and are popularly revered in the gaming community with their code name “Blank”. However, their lives are completely transformed when they are challenged to a game of chess by none other than a God from an alternate reality named Tet.
As expected, the two of them come out victorious. Therefore, as a reward, Tet offers the two siblings a chance to join him in a world where gaming is the center of life, therefore the term “No Game No Life”. The two siblings jokingly decide to entertain this fellow player only to find themselves being transported into a separate universe.
A universe where no person can inflict any bodily harm to another and the conflicts in life must be settled by some game. However, little did the siblings know that the true game of their lives has just begun.
