“Dogeza de Tanondemita” (I Tried Asking While Groveling) short anime of the sexual comedy manga by Kazuki Funatsu is about to premiere soon.
Back in July, the announcement of the anime adaptation of the manga series left many fans pleasantly baffled. Originally published as a webcomic through Funatsu’s Twitter account starting on March 18, 2017. Kadokawa Shoten published this tankōbon (standalone book) volumes later on. On other news, Dogeza de Tanondemita’s Credit-less Ending Sequence is out now!
Premise Of This Doujinshi (Self-Published) Series—
Similar to the ‘I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear, IyaPan’ anime this short anime has an identical premise. According to Wiki, the series follows Suwaru Doge, a man who bows in front of young women while asking to see their underwear, and focuses on their reactions to him. He grovels until they listen to his request; and the women react to his actions with astonishment, embarrassment, and confusion.
Tomokazu Sugita will play the bowing protagonist, Doge Suwaru.
Joining him will be the following voice actors, several of whom are doubling or tripling up on roles:
- Yui Ogura (Priestess in GOBLIN SLAYER) as Minori Gakesaka, Ayame Omoi, and Yua Aneha.
- Juri Nagatsuma (Yuri Carlton in Wise Man’s Grandchild) as Urara Toyofusa and Rui Sukiyabashi.
- Miyu Tomita (Rizu Ogata in We Never Learn: BOKUBEN) as Kanan Misenai and Rei Shioya.
- Ayaka Shimizu (Reo Wakasa in High School Fleet) as Akari Oosaka and Tama Kyan.
- Saika Kitamori as Natsumi Yuuseki and Sanami Murakami.
- Kazuma Horie (Kaname Tanuma in Natsume Yujin-cho) as Heavenly Voice.
- Akane Kaida as Sannose Ninose.

When Is This Short Anime Premiering?
The series will premiere on the AT-X channel on Wednesday, October 14 at 11:05 p.m., and then it will be available on various streaming services.

“I’m curious as to how this anime is even going to work. I’ve skimmed the manga, and each chapter is only 3-5 pages or so. There is zero plot, it’s just following this incredibly simplistic formula:
First panel: The girl looks embarrassed and/or shocked as the MC asks to see her boobs or underwear. We see this from a first-person perspective—the MC isn’t actually shown in the manga.
Second Panel: The girl looks embarrassed and makes excuses while the MC begs harder. There might be another panel or two of this same thing.
Last panel: Girl shows MC what he wants to see.
I can’t imagine an episode being more than a minute or so.”
