Cowboy Bebop Live-Action: Opening Credits Revealed

Everyone’s favorite space cowboy, Spike Spiegel, will be returning for the fans. However, this time we’d get to witness him in a live-action movie. The 90’s retro anime Cowboy Bebop was announced to get a live-action adaptation. Cowboy Bebop Live Action is set to premiere on November 19th, 2021. We’ve already seen the thrilling adventures of the space-cowboy and his crew, now let’s hop into its live-action adaptation.

Cowboy Bebop Live-Action: All Details

The upcoming live-action series won’t be following the original anime. It’s bound to give us a different storyline with some new characters. Cowboy Bebop lies in the hearts of 90’s kids, and Netflix is infamous for ruining anime with their live-action adaptations. Two of the examples being Death Note and Tokyo Ghoul. Cowboy Bebop Live-Action would be holding another level of importance to Netflix, as it won’t be a movie but a whole series. Thus, more space for more content. Cowboy Bebop Live Action will be featuring ten episodes compiled of one hour each.

Cowboy Bebop Anime Plot:

Cowboy Bebop is based on a post-apocalyptic timeline. The anime takes place in 2071 where the Earth was destroyed by accident through a hyperspace gateway. The story revolves around the protagonist- Spike Spiegel, who is a space cowboy. Spike is a composed and carefree person. Let’s see how John Cho plays this role in the Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series.

At first, the anime shows how Spike is an everyday bounty hunter, a.k.a. space cowboy, but hints about his past. The anime shows the adventures of the crew across the galaxy. Spike was a former member of a gang known as the Red Dragon Syndicate. Its leader- Vicious, had a relationship with Julia. Spike and Julia fell in love with each other and decided to leave the syndicate. To do so, Spike faked his death and presumed that Julia was dead. Things change when he knows that Julia is still alive and Vicious plans to take revenge against them. Even coming close to this plot won’t be easy for the Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series creators.

Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Series Opening Credits:

Netflix released the opening credits of the live-action series in the Tudum Event, which took place on September 25th, 2021. We are grateful that it was based on the original iconic anime opening. Fans were thrilled to hear Yoko Kano’s theme song, Tank. The entrance song itself won the hearts and has undoubtedly attracted many viewers to the series. Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series has raised our hopes, and the fans won’t forgive Netflix if they ruin the forever beloved anime. The opening credits can be seen on Netflix’s official Youtube Channel.

The opening credits were almost an exact copy of the original anime one. However, we got to see some new characters and new panels. We expect this to be a glimpse of the first few episodes as Netflix gives some new adventures this time. The fans liked the iconic Jazz but were sad not to see Ed in it. Ed is a lovable character in the anime, and since no actor has been revealed for Ed, we could expect that he wouldn’t make an appearance in the series. Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series seems to be the hot topic for the anime fans as it’s been two decades since we last saw some space cowboy action.

What differences are to be expected in the Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series?

Ed’s character in the series:

The first and foremost and the most noticeable change is Ed. Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV has been an iconic figure in the anime. The fans have always liked him for his lovable nature. His joyous pranks give the viewers a sense of heavy laughter. Ed’s absence in the Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series would be concerning. Though there hasn’t been any actor announced to play Ed, we could still expect Netflix to give us a surprise. Well, we wish Netflix to surprise us with Ed’s shocking entrance.

Some brand new, never foreseen space journeys:

Since it’s Netflix, new journeys are bound to be expected. With several new characters introduced in the Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series, a few of the episodes would be something very different. Netflix would also be adding these to the final few episodes as crucial factors. Let’s hope to receive the same amount of exhilarating space fights in the series.

Different Ending From The Anime:

The Cowboy Bebop Anime is well-known for its ending. Sadly, we didn’t get to see any surety of what happened in the end. Spike was surrounded by enemies, and the anime ended when he said, “BANG.” When asked about the anime’s conclusion in an interview, Keiko Nobumoto said that the ending is how you perceived it. He also said that one day maybe he’d tell the secret behind the final scenes. Fingers crossed, we hope the Cowboy Bebop Live-Action series showcases the actual end.
