The Batman: Damned is a DC comic written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Lee Bermejo. Azzarello and Bermejo who wrote Joker worked on Batman: Damned series and announced that it is a loose sequel of their 2018 novel Joker. There are a total of three issues of the Damned series; the last issue had gone through many delays, the cover will release on 4 September 2019.
It is a supernatural horror story revolving around Gotham city. The main characters of the comic are Spectre, Etrigan, Deadman, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, and Enchantress. The Batman: Damned will come in a graphic novel compilation version. It is the first series if DC Black Label. During a fight, Batman and Joker fall of the bridge when Joker died. But surprisingly Joker isn’t dead yet, and he will come back in upcoming series.
Brian Azzarello says, “DC set up this imprint. ‘Take our characters, do something mature.’ When that opportunity was given to us, we decided, let’s not half-ass this. Let’s go all the way. We will go down the glory, or we hit the ball.” The link to the trailer is https://youtu.be/w3y-ES-xyPw. Somebody commented on the tweet by DC about the work of Azzarello:
